“Imagine that you are taken aside for security check at the airport, that you are taken to a backroom, hooded and thrown into a car. You have no idea where you are going. Then you will be thrown into a small cell where you can hear screams from other cells.
Thousands of people are on this type of unspecified travel. They are detained simply because they are regarded a security risk.
We take action now in order to let the leaders of USA. Egypt, Russia and Pakistan know that we see what they are doing and that we do not accept it.
Respecting human rights does not reduce the security in a country, quite contrary: respecting human rights is the very foundation of security and for feeling safe.”
Apart from collecting signatures in the College and the Rehabilitation center in Haugland we had three actions outside the College as a part of this Amnesty -Norway campaign:
